Newcastle International Airport has plans to convert its former air traffic control tower into a viewing platform open to the public.
Newcastle City Futures is working with the Airport to examine how digital technologies could be integrated within this observation desk to allow visualisation of flight information.
A key concern of the project is to ensure that this space can best meet the needs of various user groups, such as children with autism.
